With a graphic design background and a few great mentors, Peter Twigt opened his first shop, ‘Tattoo Art Studio Peter’, in 1983 on Nieuwe Nieuwstraat in Amsterdam. In 1986, due to redevelopment, he opened ‘Amsterdam Tattooing’ at its current location on Nieuwe Zijds Armsteeg 4 in Amsterdam. Peter has a passion for traditional Japanese art, which is also his favorite style. He loves tattooing gods, animals, flowers, masks, etc., from Japanese mythology.
